Reservations extended through today for Silver Plate Awards Breakfast

The reservation deadline for the Silver Plate Awards Breakfast has been extended through today.

The breakfast, which honors senior citizens who have made a difference in the community, will be held on May 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Kitsap Conference Center.

The cost is $25 per person or $250 for a table of 10 for the awards event and breakfast buffet.

The three nominees include Helen Jett, a longtime Bremerton Foodline volunteer; Frank Sticklin, a Kitsap County Parks & Recreation volunteer; and Robert Vettleson, a volunteer resource manager for Harrison Medical Center.

To be selected, nomination guidelines included: individuals must be a Kitsap County resident for at least one year; emphasis must be placed on individual’s contributions after age 60. Prior contributions were also considered.

Services in various fields were considered, including military, government, art, healthcare, volunteer service, etc. Nominators must have the nominee’s consent prior to application submission.
