Bremerton Police are searching for a man who robbed the West Bremerton McDonald's at gunpoint around 6 a.m. Monday.

The suspect, described as a white male wearing a ski mask, approached a McDonald's employee outside the restaurant in the drive-through area, said Detective Sgt. Kevin Crane. The suspect pointed a gun at the employee and ordered him inside the building, saying he was going to take the restaurant's money.

The suspect went into the manager's office and took an undisclosed amount of money from the safe, Crane said. He then forced the employees into a walk-in freezer and had the manager let him out the back door of the restaurant.

Crane said there were a few customers inside the restaurant at the time of the robbery. Bremerton Police attempted a K-9 track of the suspect, but were unsuccessful.

Anyone with information about the McDonald's robbery is asked to call Bremerton Police detectives at (360) 473-5228.
