A white Ford F-150 crashed into the sanctuary of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church on the corner of 11th and Veneta Avenue in Bremerton Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. and the 35-year-old male driver was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Bremerton Fire and the city's police department responded to the crash and inspected the building before allowing volunteers to begin removing some of the debris from behind the pickup truck, which was wedged inside the church.

It appears that no one was inside the church at the time of the crash, according to Bremerton Police.

The investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
