A Bremerton man was arrested Thursday for suspicion of child rape for an apparent relationship with a 13-year-old girl, according to police.
Police Sgt. Kevin Crane said, the 13-year-old’s parents reported the suspected relationship and told police they found explicit messages on their daughter's cell phone.
The 21-year-old man, an employee at the Kitsap Family YMCA in Bremerton, is believed to have met the girl through his job, according to Crane. He has been charged with second-degree rape of a child and bail is set at $250,000.
