The owner of Handy Andy's Market on State Highway 303 in East Bremerton called the police Sept. 29 because a customer was screaming at her over a warm soda, according to a Kitsap County Sheriff's Office report.

A sheriff's deputy arrived and spoke with the owner who said the 49-year-old Bremerton woman bought a can of Pepsi and opened it at the counter to take a drink. The woman said it was warm and walked back to get another soda without asking if she could, according to the owner.

The woman told the deputy the owner said she could get another soda. The owner said she told the woman she could get a cup of ice, according to the police report.

The owner took the second, unopened can of soda from the woman. The woman became upset and reached behind the counter to get the unopened soda.

The deputy repeatedly told the woman to take the opened soda and leave, but she did not.

The woman was arrested and booked into jail for trespassing. She was later released.
