The Bremerton City Council unanimously approved the sale of the old West Sound Bank property on Pacific Avenue to developer Ron Sher at Wednesday’s meeting.
The property, located at 190 Pacific Avenue, was purchased by the city in February for $910,000 and will be sold to Sher for the same price, City Attorney Roger Lubovich said. Three units on the corner of Pacific Avenue and Second Street were reconfigured to be split between the city, Sher and developer Tim Ryan.
The portion that will remain in city hands will be converted to a public plaza to match the public space across the street along the ferry access.
Sher will likely turn his portion of the property into a restaurant, Lubovich said.
