Bremerton man injured in motorcycle crash in satisfactory condition

A 29-year-old Bremerton man injured Monday night after he ran a red light on a motorcycle and collided with an SUV is in satisfactory condition.
The man was driving southbound on State Highway 3 in East Bremerton at about 9:30 p.m. and was attempting to turn left onto John Carlson Road when he ran the light, according to a statement from the Washington State Patrol.
He was wearing a helmet, troopers reported.
The 2009 Yamaha motorcycle collided with a 2006 Nissan SUV driven by a 23-year-old Bremerton man. The driver of the SUV reported no injuries but his vehicle was towed from the scene. The motorcycle was totaled.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was listed in satisfactory condition Tuesday, according to a hospital spokeswoman.
The motorcyclist was airlifted for a head injury and cuts to the leg.
