Olympic trips up King's West Girls

Olympicís Tiffany Jess scored 23 points and grabbed 21 rebounds, but the Trojans needed a late 3-pointer from Lindsay Neste to send their game on Tuesday, Nov. 27 against Kingís West into overtime.
Neste, a sophomore guard, scored four of her 13 points in overtime as Olympic pulled out a 53-50 victory over the Class B Warriors.
Kingís West was called for 33 fouls and had five players foul out.
The Trojans made just 11 of 29 free throws, and trailed 7-2 after one quarter and 21-14 at halftime before mounting their comeback against the foul-plagued Warriors.
Sophomore guard Gita Rauen had 11 points, 9 steals and 5 rebounds for the Warriors. Lindsey Redfern added 10 points and 8 rebounds before fouling out.
Olympia 66, at Central Kitsap 51 ó Central ran into a tall, tough, seasoned outfit in Olympia, which broke open a tight Narrows League crossover game on Tuesday, Nov. 27 by outscoring the Cougars 20-11 in the third quarter.
Nicole Zygmontowicz scored 17 points and had 7 rebounds for the Cougars. Adria Layne scored 12 points. Sheena Stangler had 10 points and 7 rebounds.
Sophomores Kristi Baumgartner, Aimee Carroll and Noel Gregory made their varsity debuts for Central.
