Thanks to the success of its inaugural season, NABA (North American Baseball Association) Westsound is forming a fall men’s hardball league. Anyone 18 and older (as of Sept. 7), no matter the skill level, can try out for one of three teams on Saturday, Aug. 23 and Sunday, Aug. 24 at Snider Park in Poulsbo. Both tryouts are from noon to 2 p.m. There is a $10 tryout fee. The fall league, which is a wood bat league, will feature an eight-game season plus playoffs with each team fielding a maximum of 12 players. All games will be played at noon or 3 p.m. on Sundays with the exception of one to-be-determined Saturday. The league costs $195 per player, which covers insurance, umpire fees, field rentals and more. All games will be played at Snider Park and other fields. For directions or more information, visit the league’s Web site at www.leaguelineup.com/nabawestsound or call the league’s hotline at (206) 774-0396.
